Terms of Service

By creating an account or using any part of the Tinig service, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old (or the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction), that you have read and understood these Terms, and that you agree to be legally bound by them. If you do not agree, do not use Tinig.

Tinig provides real-time speech coaching through nudges and post-session debrief reports. The service uses your browser's built-in Web Speech API; audio is processed locally on your device and never transmitted to our servers. We store only text transcripts of your sessions.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time, with or without notice. We are not liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation.

You must create an account to use Tinig. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at hello@tinig.app if you suspect unauthorized access.

You must provide accurate, current, and complete registration information. We may suspend or terminate your account if any information provided proves to be inaccurate or incomplete.

You agree not to:

• Use Tinig for any unlawful purpose or in violation of applicable laws or regulations.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the service or its infrastructure.
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the service.
• Use the service to harass, harm, or impersonate any person.
• Scrape, crawl, or extract data from the service via automated means.
• Transmit viruses, malware, or any other harmful code.
• Use the service in any way that could damage, overburden, or impair its operation.

We may terminate or suspend your access immediately, without prior notice, if you violate these terms.

Certain features of Tinig require a paid subscription. All billing is handled by Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge the payment method on file at the start of each billing period (monthly or annual, as selected).

Prices are displayed in USD unless otherwise indicated. We reserve the right to change pricing with at least 14 days' notice to subscribers.

Cancellation. You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you will not be charged for the following period. We do not offer prorated refunds for partial billing periods.

Free tier. A free tier is available with limited features. We may modify or discontinue the free tier at any time with reasonable notice.

Transcription Minutes (applies when AI transcription is active). Starter and Pro plans include a monthly transcription minute allowance for AI-powered transcription:

• Starter: Up to 500 transcription minutes per billing period (~17 standard sessions).
• Pro: Up to 1,400 transcription minutes per billing period (~47 standard sessions).

Transcription minutes are used when AI transcription is active. Focovi LLC reserves the right to throttle or suspend transcription for accounts that exceed these limits. You will receive an in-app notification when you reach 80% of your monthly limit. These limits do not apply to the Free tier, which uses on-device transcription.

Our content. Tinig and all content, features, and functionality of the service — including software, text, graphics, logos, and icons — are owned by Focovi LLC and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our prior written consent.

Your content. You retain ownership of the session transcripts and data you generate through Tinig. By using the service, you grant Focovi LLC a limited, non-exclusive license to store and process your content solely to provide the service to you.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE OPERATION. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE COACHING GUIDANCE PROVIDED BY TINIG IS ACCURATE, COMPLETE, OR SUITABLE FOR YOUR SPECIFIC SITUATION.

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, FOCOVI LLC AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

OUR TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING UNDER THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE TOTAL FEES YOU PAID TO US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) $100 USD.

We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the service at any time, with or without cause or notice. Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination — including intellectual property, disclaimer, limitation of liability, and governing law — will survive.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising under these Terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Delaware.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by posting a notice on the service. Continued use of Tinig after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
